TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUPPLYING DIGITAL ADVERTISING COPY TO REGIONAL NEWSPAPERS

The following specifications should be followed when creating pdf files.

IMAGES

       RGB images must not be supplied

       Each image must be converted to CMYK for colour printing or greyscale for monochrome printing

       Image resolution must be 200dpi

       Minimum text point size is 8pt

       Minimum line weight is 0.5pt

TYPE

       Minimum colour type size is 12pt

       Minimum reversed type out of solid colour is 12pt

       Minimum text point size is 7pt

       Embed all fonts

OTHER

       Transparency effects must be flattened prior to PDF generation

Note 1: The publishers cannot accept any responsibility for any unexpected results experienced from artwork supplied in non-CMYK colour.

Note 2: Some regional newspapers may have declared specifications that are not satisfied by the above minimum standards. Currently this is restricted to WESTERN PEOPLE.
